Absolutely perfect. Watching the amazing sunset from the carriage made our 1st wedding anniversary perfect. Every detail has been thought of - thanks for the lovely welcome basket, the scones (delicious!), nearly lasted the first hour! We loved our stay at Long Hill Carriage and hope to be back again soon! Thanks Chris and Annie.

You have created something very special.

Thank you Chris and Annie. We have just had a lovely time at Long Hill Carriage for the past few days. After 1 hour Kay had said 'can we come back?... After 2 hours it was the favourite place she'd ever stayed... After 3 hours we'd started the homemade scones from the welcome basket (and both the birthday cakes) all absolutely scrummy!

The carriage and wagon are brilliant. This whole space really is amazing and you have created something very special. You should get George Clarke to pop down and give his critique on the place and I can guarantee he'll love it as much as we have. A final thank you for the birthday flowers you gave Kay. A fabulous long weekend and we hope to be back soon. Many thanks.

I could have cried how perfect it all was

Where to begin? We found Long Hill Carriage way back in February when we were looking for somewhere to go on our 'mini-moon' and as soon as we found it we knew it was exactly what we were looking for! Finally after our wedding in October we arrived to the warmest of welcomes from Chris who then proceeded to show us around Long Hill Carriage, it was obvious that this had been a project long in the making and a lot of blood, sweat and tears had been put into it by Chris and Annie but oh it has so been worth it! I could have cried at how perfect it all was - every detail has been so well thought out from the decoration to how it is laid out to all of the things that are provided. We are so touched by the homemade scones (which didn't last long!) made that morning by Annie. Thank you both so much! It has been the most relaxing 5 days away we have had in a long time and I could write pages on why we have enjoyed it so much but needless to say it has been everything we could have hoped for and more. I wish we didn't have to go home. Thank you Annie and Chris for creating this little, perfect haven, we will be back.

Everything was perfect...

Thank you for such a wonderful stay in this beautiful carriage - everything was perfect from start to end. Every detail has been thought of to make it such a relaxing stay and the welcome basket was lovely with the delicious homemade scones!

We were so lucky with the weather and made the most of spending every minute we could sitting outside enjoying sheep sounds, sunshine and of course the stunning views!!

Wish we didn't have to leave but thank you again for such an amazing few days. It was just what we needed.

A haven of tranquility in a stunning landscape

Thank you so very much for allowing us to live in your paradise briefly! You've both worked so hard to create something we will find unforgettable, and to list all the colourful, fragrant and nostalgic delights on every shelf, around each corner inside and outside the carriage, wagon and garden would take many pages. You're to be hugely congratulated on creating a haven of tranquility in a stunning landscape that must surely refresh everyone who comes here. Thank you for being generous hosts who've made us feel very welcome. We'll be back...

It certainly is, a little bit of heaven, right here on earth.

'Orient Express?
- No way. No thank you,
- Give me Long Hill Carriage - Everytime!'

It certainly is, a little bit of heaven, right here on earth.

Thank you both so much for your wonderful welcome, amazing carriage and tranquil surroundings. We love it all and your welcome basket was the icing on the cake.

Bless you both.

A superb break.

Thank you for a superb break. Long Hill Carriage well exceeded our expectations and provided us with exactly what we needed. We have driven down the A303 many times and have often said we should turn left - we are so pleased that we finally did. It's an area we will definitely return to.

What a little gem!!!

Wow! What a little gem!!! The wife and I just want to take the carriage home, but alas it won't fit in the car. Thanks Chris and Annie for making our 2nd anniversary oh so wonderful, we will return there is no doubt.

Simply stunning!

Simply stunning! The garden and carriage are beautiful! I felt really at home here, the vintage decor, very much my style! The attention to detail is amazing, a feast for the eyes! It was lovely to read about the history of the carriage and how you have restored it. To top everything, the icing on the cake, has to be the beautiful views across the vale!

Thank you to Chris and Annie, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back in the summertime.

The view and the peaceful location are out of this world.

This has been one of the most perfect weekends away. The view and the peaceful location are out of this world.

Thank you Chris for being so helpful when we first arrived, and recommending Stourhead N.T. house and gardens which is an outstanding place. And thank you Annie for the lovely welcome basket (scones were perfect!!) and for the wonderful birthday cupcakes, such a sweet gesture. We will definitely be recommending this to family and friends... and we will definitely be back.

Thank you both again.

An amazing restoration project beautifully completed...

What a wonderful place to stay, and what a super location. An amazing restoration project beautifully completed and with every home comfort. We chose these few days hoping for midsummer sunshine - but this is the UK! We had a lovely time visiting Bath, Salisbury, Stourhead (a gem), Blandford Forum and will visit Wells on the way home and each day returned to our cosy little nest for the night. Our grateful thanks for a good break away from our usual routines.

Not sure we will ever be 'content' staying in hotels again.

Not sure we will ever be 'content' staying in hotels again. This experience gave us so much more. It was made with love and feels very homely and welcoming.

It was so cosy we found it difficult to leave. We're very jealous of the next guests that are due to arrive and even contemplated hiding in the recycling shed.

A joy to wake up in such beautiful surroundings...

This has been the most wonderful week! We arrived on Monday as weary travellers after 4 nights camping at muddy Glastonbury Festival. Long Hill Carriage has provided the most perfect sanctuary after a busy and long weekend.

Whilst here, we have visited Glastonbury town and walked up the Tor, stoppped off in Shaftesbury, enjoyed steak and pizza in the 'At The Chapel' restaurant in Bruton, and also visited Bath for the day. Each evening has been spent lovingly in front of the log fire in the carriage, and it has been a joy to wake up in such beautiful surroundings each morning.

We are sad to be leaving! We will tell all our friends and family about this stunning place to stay.

There is so much in the world to see, so much in this country, I have never wanted to return anywhere (certainly not so soon...)

This is a first...

Thank you.

P.S I adore my 8 + 6 year olds - but lack of children has made this such a fantastic romantic getaway!
